Bomi Group is founded and Giorgio Ruini is appointed as Managing Director.

1989-1992
Bomi Group opens its first branches in Europe, with offices in Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, France and the Benelux Union.

1996-97
Bomi Group launches two important joint ventures with local partners in Mexico and Brazil.

2004-2009
Bomi Group sells its European assets and focuses its efforts and investments in South America. In 2008 a joint venture is launched in Chile and the Colombia branch is opened in 2009, now representing the Group’s third largest market.

Bomi Group moves into Turkey.

2012
Bomi Group joins the Elite project, an international platform of integrated services created by the London Stock Exchange to support the growth of Italian businesses and promote their access to capital markets.

2013
Bomi Group completes its first acquisition in Italy as part of a gradual in-sourcing transport management strategy.

2014
Bomi Group becomes one of the first Italian SMEs to be awarded the “Elite” Certificate by Borsa Italiana and starts the stock exchange listing process.

Bomi Group celebrates 30 years of business and is listed on the AIM Market in Milan.

2016
Further acquisitions are made in Italy, aimed at creating a distinctive and extensive temperature-controlled transportation network. Bomi Group enters the Chinese market and begins trading in Panama.

2017
Bomi Group enters the Mexican market and acquires the residual minority stake in Brazil, consolidating its direct presence on the Brazilian market.

2018
Bomi Group completes the acquisition of De Salute Srl, a leading Italian logistics operator specialising in the management of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, dietary supplements and medical devices with two pharmaceutical laboratories focused on secondary packaging.

2019
Following the successful conclusion of the takeover bid, the partnership was formalized between Bomi Group and Archimed, the pan-European private equity firm. In May Bomi Group was delisted from the AIM market of Borsa Italia.

2020
Two direct presence geographies opened: United Kingdom and Spain. 7 companies acquired in the healthcare sector across 3 countries.

2021
Growth strategy continues; acquisitions of the historical companies Autotrasporti Vercesi, Linex and Picking Farma are finalized. Bomi Group enters the U.S. market directly.

2022
Bomi is officially part of UPS. The Group combined can now offer more than 15.5 million square feet of cGMP and GDP-compliant healthcare distribution space across 23 countries.
