The Personalized Training Course in Project Management held in the HQ of Bomi Group in Italy has been concluded.

The Personalized Training Course in Project Management ended with the last meeting in March. It has been organized in a total of 44 hours, divided into 8 different meetings of  4 to 8 hours in blended mode. The ad hoc designed training course was intended for all those who are involved on an everyday basis in the management, monitoring and control of strategic projects, and have to provide significant contributions to such initiatives.

This was an opportunity for targeted learning and interpersonal relationships in-person, inserted in a coherent and broader plan of internal training sponsored by the COO of Bomi Group and promoted by the People & Culture Department.

Starting with a pilot phase in Italy, which will soon be replicated in other countries with similar initiatives, the primary objective is to create a corporate culture of Project Management and a typical Bomi methodology that can be followed and applied globally.

In an environment of comparison and sharing of the management practices adopted from the various projects of the company with the related tools, the participants were able, during the course, to analyze the two modes of work for projects prevalent today: Predictive/Waterfall and Adaptive/Agile; and to understand the key elements for an effective project management.

Those who went on to the advanced course had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the issues of achieving and understanding time and cost monitoring techniques, project reporting, risk management practices and processes, and how to provide guidance on adapting processes and tools in line with the size and criticality of the projects managed, with a final word on lean Management.

The latter was custom-designed by the 24 Ore Business School with the collaboration of two consulting companies (Carry Consulting and Odexa) among the most accredited in the supply chain and operational excellence sector, which worked hand in hand over two months with a small cross-functional group of Bomi Project Managers in IT, Finance, OpEx and P&C coordinated by Giovanni Crocco, Global P&C Business Partner.

“We believe that training the team in a clear Company methodology of project management is crucial to the success of the many growth initiatives we have in place, involving different areas and business units. This is a project that starts in Italy, but will certainly be extended in our other Branches”, comments Felipe Morgulis, COO at Bomi Group.
