Bomi Group acquires Linex, a leading Brazilian company in logistics transport for the Healthcare

With this operation Bomi Group launches the Bomi Health Carrier Business Unit in Brazil and consolidates Bomi Health Forwarding throughout LATAM.

Bomi Group, a leading multinational in integrated logistics serving the Healthcare sector, has announced the acquisition of Line Express and ALX (“Linex”) a leading Brazilian company in the air transport of pharmaceutical products with nationwide coverage,  delivering products daily to the main distributors, hospitals and clinics throughout the country.This operation will allow the Bomi Group to strenghten in Brazil the Bomi Health Carrier network, which manages the entire chain of products up to delivery to the final recipient, and to consolidate the Bomi Health Forwarding solutions for the management and distribution of clinical trials.

Linex, based in Barueri close to São Paulo, was founded in 2004 by the Silva family and in just two years has become a leader in its area of expertise. The company has several of the most important pharmaceutical companies in Brazil and within the world as customers.

Its fleet of special vehicles, mainly trucks and vans, complies with the highest safety standards required by the pharmaceutical industry. Its Transport Management System has the largest network with regulatory coverage in the national territory, following the standards required by ANVISA (National Health Surveillance Agency) for the operations of pharmaceutical and related products. The company also offers ad hoc packaging solutions for air transport of fragile products, biological samples and other temperature sensitive goods.

Linex is recognized by the healthcare market as a reference in terms of reliability, accuracy, and quality in its sector. It also offers specialized reverse logistics services, that which deal with the recovery, collection, transport, receiving and sorting of products to the final destination presenting themselves as an excellent alternative for the transport of biological materials and reusable packaging.

Linex is developed in 6 facilities, including 1 main DC and 5 cross-docking hubs strategically located, in addition to 40 Authorized and Approved Agents throughout Brazil.

Aiming to maintain the excellent level of service and due to her over 17 years of experience in the sector, Telma Santoro, who is today in charge of commercial activities, will lead all Linex operations as Head of Airfreight & FTL. The owners Kléber, Renato and Ricardo Silva will continue to manage the company, providing all the support needed for the success of this new transition phase as part of Bomi Group.
