BOMI GROUP OBTAINS THE AEO ACCREDITATION IN NETHERLANDS

Bomi Group is glad to announce that the Dutch branch has recently got the AEO accreditation.

The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is an internationally recognized status which indicates that a company’s role in the supply chain is secure and reliable and that any Customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant.

This implies that there must always be a relationship between Customs and the AEO. This relationship must be based on the principles of mutual transparency, correctness, fairness and responsibility.

To get the status, Bomi Group met the following criteria:

• Compliance with customs legislation and taxation rules and absence of criminal offences related to the economic activity;
• Appropriate record keeping;
• Financial solvency;
• Proven practical standards of competence or professional qualifications;
• Appropriate security and safety measure;

Thanks to the AEO status, Bomi Group can now get some benefits as a simplified Customs declaration and EIDR (Entry in Declarant’s Records), transit simplifications, priority treatment of consignments if selected for control, the option of a centralised clearance self-assessment and many other facilitations that can make the customs clearance service already provided by our Dutch branch in Eindhoven easier and faster.
