Important news for the French subsidiary of Bussy-Saint-Georges

Among the value added services, the development of its own internal fleet, the ISO 13485 certification and the installation of a Cold Chamber.

With these new opportunities, Bomi Group confirms the high quality standards of the services offered through a personalized and consistent approach according to the customers’ needs.

The inauguration of its own internal fleet, the ISO 13485 certification, the installation of a Cold Chamber: these are the main and important news involving the French branch of Bomi Group, multinational leader in integrated logistics operating in the Healthcare sector, recently inaugurated in Bussy-Saint-Georges and entirely dedicated to the medical sector.

The main news is the inauguration of an internal proprietary fleet composed by some vehicles dedicated to HEALTH TECH, to the management of technical transport of high value instruments, and that soon will be integrated with additional vehicles dedicated to transport at controlled temperature +15°/+25°C, with a strategic focus on deliveries to patients’ homes. For the first time in France, Bomi Group will be able to carry out transport services with its own vehicles and drivers, limiting the contribution of third-party partners, and ensuring quality, continuity and service standards throughout the chain.

The system of stocking, distribution, management and transportation of medical devices, in vitro diagnostics and other healthcare products has enabled the company to obtain ISO 13485:2016 certification issued by the BSI (British Standard Institution) for ensuring the integrity and traceability of products, their use and marketing.

In addition, a Cold Chamber, a +2°/+8°C cold room, was installed in the Bussy-Saint-Georges space at the end of December for stocking and monitoring biological samples in line with Pharma and GDP standards.

As part of Bomi Group’s development strategy and in order to offer customers services increasingly tailored to the needs of the healthcare sector, BOMI Group’s new space in France has made it possible to centralize logistics services, implement a stock management area for demo devices – the medical equipment used for customer demonstration presentations – a decontamination room and a technical workshop for programming and repair.

The warehouse has an area of 6880 square meters, with about 7000 pallet spaces and another 609 square meters of office, conference room and work areas. The building is self-supporting, 10 meters high and has 6 level loading bays, plus a full height door. It is equipped with a sprinkler system – an automatic sprinkler system – and a temperature monitoring system.

The objective of the last year has been to differentiate and expand services, in line with corporate know-how, to increase the competitiveness of the subsidiary on the French market – said Edoardo Buonerba, Head of France Operations, Bomi Group -. These important innovations, which will be followed by others, are further confirmation of the Group’s effective development strategy and in-depth knowledge of the needs of the countries in which the company is present“.

Currently, Bomi Group in France has an active portfolio of about 30 customers including large multinationals and medium-sized local companies mainly belonging to the IVD (in vitro diagnostics), diagnostic imaging and hospital equipment sectors.

These include ELITech Group, a private group of manufacturers and distributors worldwide of equipment and reagents for in vitro diagnostics, clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology and molecular biology, for which Bomi Group is responsible for the technical transport, storage and shipment of consumables and international transport of reagents.

We are proud to conclude this beautiful partnership with BOMI, it is the proof of an important advance in terms of medical biology with the alliance of two strong complementary expertises– said Carole Pradalier, Purchase and Flows Manager of ELITechGroup – We are going to offer a unique and innovative service for the care of many patients. This is all the more important today in a time of global pandemic when health is at the heart of all concerns”.
